Family Law

Family Law is a broad term which encompasses Divorce, Custody, Child Support, Alimony, etc. At Cramer Law Office we understand that these types of matters are often highly emotional and stressful. Our knowledge and experience will help relieve your stress and anxiety over these issues.

Divorce is generally a two part process: 1. Severing the martial relationship, and 2. An equitable distribution of the marital assets. A large majority of divorces are obtained via a No- Fault Divorce Complaint. In Pennsylvania there are two types of No-Fault Divorce: 1. A mutual consent divorce, and 2. A unilateral consent divorce. We can handle your divorce case from the initial Complaint through the Marital Settlement Agreement. If you are unable to come to an agreement with your spouse regarding the martial assets, we can represent you at a Master’s Hearing, where a Master will decide the distribution of assets.

Custody issues include determining physical custody, legal custody, and visitation schedules as well as subsequent modifications to custody orders. We encourage our clients to come to a reasonable agreement with the other parties outside of the courthouse. However it is sometimes necessary to seek judicial intervention in custody matters.
